Ive seen this film a million times, always said life was like a box a chocolates in this scene because hes taking as if hes his mother is dead, *edit* earlier on in the film his mother says life "IS" like a box of chocolates never know what your gunna get so i believe thats where the Mandela effect comes into play 🤷‍♂️

They also have original TV show airings (aired on that particular date on regular cable TV mind you) and original theatrical releases (just in the theaters released on its original release date) that they do probably change before being released to VHS, DVD, or streaming. Well, Forrest's mom says the line right. Did you know there was a scp based on this misunderstanding? It's number is 5346. Basically, the line is said, the watcher questions things, sees Forrest break the 4th wall, and get slammed in the head by him.

I just watched an SNL skit called Celebrity Game Night. In that skit they had the sentence " LIFE IS LIKE A BOX ' and the rest they were supposed to fill in. They would not have mistakenly misquoted that as it is iconic. The joke was no one was smart enough to fill in the rest... being "of chocolates !" I had that same VHS. I wish I still did. It's really scary this Mandela effect. It's something.... NOT GOOD
